North Al Batinah Governorate, which extends as a coastal strip between the sea and the mountains, is considered one of the most important governorates of the Sultanate geographically and economically. It includes six wilayats: Sohar, Shinas, Liwa, Saham, Al Khaburah, and Suwaiq, and the governorate’s capital, Sohar.
